Golden Corner

Respite Care

A Non-Profit organization that serves upstate families challenged by Dementia

Golden Corner Respite Care is a program that provides respite (temporary relief from caregiving responsibility) to caregivers for persons with early to mid-stage Alzheimer’s or related dementia.  The person with dementia receives respite care while engaging in social, physical, intellectual, and spiritual activities in a safe and loving environment.

GCRC is designed to meet the social and emotional needs of adults with dementia and their caregivers. It provides activities and socialization opportunities outside the home in a safe and caring setting for older adults with early to mid-stage Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

GCRC offers caregivers personal time away once a week during the day to rest and take care of personal concerns. In addition, dementia education, resource information and emotional coping counseling is available to the caregivers.
